Internet universities realize that a lot of their pupils have very little experience with computers. To help them prosper, they make sure there is a low technical barrier to entry. Those with even a modicum of ability can sign up and finish the coursework effortlessly while learning new skills on the way.
#5 – Credits Will Not Transfer To A Traditional College
You might eventually need to transfer credits earned at an internet university to a “brick and mortar” school. Doing so was once difficult. As mentioned earlier, there were very few educational standards for internet courses years ago. Due to local accreditation organizations, however, this problem has been largely resolved.
Traditional universities are now confident that work completed at regionally approved online universities is as thorough as the material taught in “brick and mortar” colleges. There is a caveat, however: credits earned at internet colleges approved only by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) might still be hard to transfer.
Online distance education programs have made great strides from where they started. For many individuals, they offer a perfect route toward getting the diploma they desire.
